The democratic world since the onset of the new Millenium has undergone a churn unlike never before. Liberal democracies across the world witnessed profound value and social change that in some respects resembled the pace of digital transformation. Cities transformed from being mere economic powerhouses to becoming centres of cultural transformation. Ideas emerging from an increasingly cross-continental managerial and professional class were being thrust upon the democratic world. Many believed that the lack of opposition to this new value system was a function of its widespread acceptance. However, a series of electoral pushbacks in the recent past by voters in liberal democracies has shaken this notional consensus. The forgotten voter has made their opposition to top-down value change well known and has decided to make the conservative politician the voice of their concerns. Conservatives from traditionally being opposed to change are gradually becoming proponents of reasoned change.
This agile transformation of conservatives has the potential to change the course of human history. We at the Reformist wish to be a part of this bottom-up reassertion in the world's largest democracy. By doing so we hope to contribute to the federalization of public debate and bring about genuine cognitive diversity in our public discourse. The Reformist wishes to provide people across all intersectional identities a platform to articulate their vision for the country and the world on the issues that matter to them.
